First Hand Reaserch

The KFC in Manvers is a recent building, and thus has elements of modern architecture, but it is very square and angular, unlike many modern buildings.
This recently built school in Wombwell vaguely resembles Zaha Hadid's 'MAXXI' in Rome, but again, looks verry angular and boxy, unimaginative.
Dearne Valley College in Manvers has a feature on the top that appears to be a classical feature, but the building itself is quite modern. This links directly into what i'm looking to do with this project.

The 'Next' building in Manvers is an example of a modern factory building, the blue against the grey contrasts nicely and makes it easier to look at.
These shops in Mavers stand out due to the bright colours and bizarre shapes used, Zaha Hadid uses some of the same feature when designing her buildings.
This window structure on a fire caught my eye, i like the use of large windows on a building.
